Following the devastating wildfires that struck Limassol District on 23 July 2025, international broker XM has pledged €5 million to support both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts in Cyprus. The initiative reflects XM’s long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility and comes in addition to the official compensation already provided by the Government of Cyprus.
How the Support Works
Families whose primary residence suffered partial or total destruction may apply for an additional one-off financial contribution from XM. This assistance is designed to complement the government’s relief scheme and provide further help to those most affected.
To apply, residents need to send the following documents electronically to relief@xm.com
- Copy of ID card
- IBAN certificate
- Proof of government emergency assistance received from the Republic of Cyprus
- Contact phone number and email address
- Name of the village
Please note: secondary homes (holiday or investment properties) are not eligible.
Why XM Is Involved
“We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the wildfires and stand in solidarity with the communities affected,” said Stavri Morti, co-CEO at XM. “Our thoughts are with every individual and family impacted, and we are committed to supporting both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts with responsibility and care.”
In addition to direct financial aid, XM is also funding fire prevention programs in Cyprus, aimed at strengthening preparedness and reducing the risk of future disasters.
